Product images by Steve Pocock

Steve came to us some years back through Nomad’s, a Cambridge shop we were in partnership with. A meteorite slice we had for sale at the time had caught Steve’s eye. Sometime later, many of our product images and some of our background shots have been taken by Steve.

As well as being a professional photographer, Steve has used his experience of photographing minerals & fossils to set up his own business producing and selling gift cards with a mineral theme. Email him for more details about his photography service or cards.

For a brief visual reminder of why we all love stones view the images from Richard Weston that we have used as a slide show here.

Natures inherent ability to create beauty and variety has been transformed into a series of cards, large scale prints, scarves and fabrics by Richard Weston (featured on BBC2’s Britain’s Next Big Thing). Quite a few of the stones in these images came to Richard from us indirectly, via our friends shop Debris, run by Debbie & Simon, in Pontcanna Place, Cardiff website.

If you are interested in obtaining custom prints or any of the other products Richard produces then visit As another friend of ours put it “It’s about time someone made a commercial success of the connection between images in stone and art”.

Chris was approached to help top up certain product areas and images that needed changing or fleshing out after the website had been live for a couple of years. Product changes (we try to keep our pictures up to date) and new lines mean that there is a continual updating process.
