Preseli Bluestone

Preseli Spotted Dolerite is a slightly altered igneous rock with a distinctive pattern. Patches of Plagioclase feldspar are found in a fine grained blue-green matrix. Preseli Spotted Dolerite is one of the Bluestone rock types used in the stone age monument of Stonehenge, 250 miles from the source area of the Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire, Wales. Metaphysical practitioners have paired with Lakelandite.
